This holiday season I met so many new families and this family was one of them, sweet and lovely but nervous about having their family portraits taken by a professional because this was their first time. I was so lucky to be the one they chose and to start a wonderful relationship with them.
Something funny about my job that you probably would never think about is that I get the jitters at sessions too. However, this doesn't come from the technical issues I may encounter. It's how I can help you and your family relax and earn your trust to let you deeply believe in yourself that you will be doing great at your photo session.
I pay a lot of attention to the mom at my family session. As a mom of little children myself, I know we put a lot of time and effort taking care of our family that we don't even have time to check ourselves in the mirror or brush teeth in the morning. We loose the confidence about ourselves. We think we don't look good enough while we know we have the cutest children in the world.
A family session is when I want the mom to take a day off to just love herself and to see how her children see her in their eye. And to remember you are absolutely beautiful! ...Thank you for drowning me with tears when you came back to look at your photos. Your family is well connected and beautiful. You make me believe what I am doing is totally worthy to families. :-)
