Baltimore Family
Newborn photography is one of the hardest photography genre among all kinds. First of all, babies are delicate to handle. Secondly, it takes time to know each unique baby and help him or her feel comfortable at a new setting. But it is still my all time favorite session because newborn photography means so much to the families. Especially later when the baby has become a toddler, started his/her first step, saying good by to you at the bus station for school, when you will look at the pictures, overwhelmed by the memories.... "Ahhh..He came so tiny." This is the sweetest moment of the life. And it gives my job a purpose and meaning.
Some babies are easy to adjust to the new environments. Some have their own pace. Some just won't settle for photoshoot although this has not happened in my studio so far. But I always believe giving the baby all the patience he/she needs and he or she will eventually settle for their first photoshoot...even if this means three hours of rocking the baby to sleep.
As for this particular photoshoot, I remember one day I was browsing some fashion photos on the internet and this olive backdrop caught my eyes. It looked so elegant and beautiful for the fashion photos where the model wore some yellow toned outfits. I was so attracted to the color combination, so I decide to get it for my studio. Not long after I got this gorgeous backdrop, this beautiful family booked a newborn session with me. They just have beautiful hair color that I thought would fit this olive backdrop perfectly. After the outfits consulations via email, I thought everything would be so nicely put tougher whit their outfits, so it made its debut.
The result turned out so nicely. I really love how elegant and calm the photos look. And the backdrop even matched the color of the mom's pants as well. This is absolutely one of my favorite sessions. I hope you will enjoy the photos too.
